Who I Am

Originally from Cincinnati, OH, I moved to Nashville in 1988 earning my bachelor of arts from Belmont University. I later attended University of Tennessee’s school of social work earning a master’s in social work. During my studies, I was fortunate enough to become involved with Gilda’s Club, facilitating support groups for those whose lives have been touched by cancer. For over 16 years, I worked at Alive Hospice providing support to those at the end of life and their loved ones. During those years, I worked with children of all ages as well as adults facing end of life. That support carried over to grief work following the loss. My specialty is helping individuals navigate life’s most difficult challenges, life transitions and the feelings that arise during these most challenging times. Anxiety and depression, low self worth, grief from various types of loss, these are all issues we can work on together. It takes great courage to reach out for help. Just by being on this site, you have taken an important first step. I offer a 15 minute consultation via phone or video at no charge to see if we are a good fit. I look forward to hearing from you.
